Opportunity
 Fadata is expanding its footprint in the cloud and hence growing its site reliability team. We are adopting DevOps culture and driving our solutions to increase cloud friendliness. For this purpose, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to operate our solution on-prem and in the cloud and to drive forward automation.
​You will automate, install, configure and performance tune the Fadata proprietary software system INSIS. You will help INSIS deployment and upgrade through а set of automated scripts, plus any troubleshooting activities associated.
Your responsibilities:
  • Installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of WebLogic and Apache web server on clustered and non-clustered environments, based on Windows and Linux platform
  • Configuring WebLogic Plug-in for web servers and deploying various J2EE applications (WAR, EAR, and JAR)
  • Managing and Monitoring the JVM performance by WebLogic Heap Size, garbage collection, JDBC Pools. Writing scripts (start & stop) for web application server administration
  • Responsible for application changes across different platforms - development, testing and production environment 
  • Database migration with different Oracle tools (RMAN, Data pump)
  • Deployment with UNIX, WLST and ANT build scripts 
  • Participates actively in the design, build and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines across the company (product and project release processes)
  • Contributes to the selection, implementation and maintenance of the Engineering toolset and ensures its applied across the company (product, projects, partners and clients)
  • Owns and drives changes in all areas of CI/CD process to improve reliability, reusability and efficiency
  • Contributes to the definition, documentation and compliance of DevOps standards and guidelines
What you bring to the table:
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer, System Administrator or Senior Technical Support Engineer
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in complex production environments
  • Practical knowledge of Linux-based operating systems 
  • Strong work documentation culture 
  • Scripted Infrastructure (Infra as a Code) 
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • DevOps concepts, methodologies and approaches 
  • Proficient knowledge of distributed version control systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub, etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge of scripting/programming languages (Bash, Java, Python, etc.), CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, etc.), Terraform, Ansible playbooks, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud native services (AWS, Azure or OCI) are a must
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Fluent in English
