We also have some good news! Unlike the typical IT support function Fadata support requires much more of experience and expertise and is far away from being a graduate job. In fact, we are looking for a mix of PLSQL development skills and insurance business knowledge (but don’t worry about the insurance background – we will help you!). If you have a talent in helping others and have experience with PLSQL development, then you might be a match for us.
Your responsibilities
  • Ensures smooth and timely tasks solution process on clients’ operational problems or change requests.
  • Investigates reported issues incl. interaction with client for to collect thorough description of the issue, steps for reproducing the problem.
  • Frequently interacts with client administrators and IT specialists is an active part of the client tasks solution process.
  • Provides follow up on clients’ requests.
  • Cooperates with FADATA implementation teams for timely execution of the whole support value chain.
  • Collects requirements about change requests that have arisen as response to an operational problem.
  • Collaborates with implementation team during the client on boarding period to support.
  • Supports insurance system business logic in an Oracle database using PL/SQL.
  • Proposes workaround and optimizations in the software.
  • Collaboration with product development team on proven bugs and coordination of the customer patch.
  • Testing software functionalities on different environments and versions.
What you bring to the table
  • An experienced technical consultant, technical analyst or developer with at least 2 years’ experience gained in an insurance or financial software environment. Technical skills required: able to understand and interpret business requirements and implement them using INSIS and/or development tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • PLSQL expertise or previous experience is required.
  • Experience with Oracle products (DB, Weblogic), Java and BPM is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to support and advise the implementation teams and customers on limitations and opportunities for perfect fit of customer solutions based on knowledge of INSIS.
  • General understanding of project delivery methodologies and governance.
  • Good discipline and self-organizing, able to work on own initiative.
  • Detail aware, able to resolve issues, good judgement regarding the need for escalation.
  • Strong customer facing attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Very good command of English (both written and spoken).

    Considered a plus:
  • Knowledge of the insurance business
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience with: 
    • Java and Oracle ADF
    • Developing insurance or financial applications
    • DBA operations
    • Web Services (REST, SOAP) and tooling for automation (POSTMAN, jMeter)
    • Version control system (GIT)
