Opportunity
Fadata group follows Scrum methodology in crafting software. The work planning cycles are monthly and then executed via biweekly sprints. The release process depends on the outcome of these events.

Role Summary: 
You have excellent technical, communication and interpersonal skills as a Technical Release manager. You can demonstrate previous experience in such or similar project management roles. An essential part of your role is to organize the full Release lifecycle, from planning the schedule to monitoring and controlling the main release objectives: Scope, Time, and Quality. You have an excellent understanding of the SDLC principles, and you speak “the same language” with our software engineers. Your ability to establish release progress reports and communicate them to various business stakeholders is crucial to the success of the mission. You have analytical and data driven mind where reporting on clear established data points is what you consider reliable. You are responsible for the release success and all impediments. As a Technical Release Manager you are the leader of our DevOps team that supports the technical release process and automation.

Your responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate release planning activities with various stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain release plans and annual release calendar
  • Manage risks and remove impediments that affect release scope, schedule or quality
  • Measure, monitor and control progress of the main release goals and ensure early warnings and actions in the event of KPI’s deviations
  • Work proactively in enhancing KPI measurements that would secure control and transparency over the release lifecycle based on real data points
  • Manage relationships and coordinate working dependencies between different scrum teams
  • Maintain release artifacts, documentation, and version control records to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing is completed for all releases, including regression testing, performance, and security testing
  • Conduct Release progress reviews with the relevant business stakeholders
  • Secure proper and up to date release process documentation
  • Perform regular release reporting meetings that keep the company stakeholders up to date
  • Work with engineers to understand implications over the SDLC that might have an impact over the release goals.
  • Be in a close touch with Product managers, Product owners and engineering leaders to secure the right release outcome
  • Work with DevOps engineers to manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and processes are optimized for efficient releases
  • Oversee build and deployment processes, ensuring code is integrated, tested, and released seamlessly across internal development environments
  • Act as the technical point of contact during release activities, and actively participate in troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Lead incident response efforts during release failures, coordinating quick resolutions with technical teams
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in release management processes and practices
  • Lead a team of two DevOps engineers with a direct reporting line
  • Manage the DevOps team backlog
  • Assume all people management responsibilities

What you bring to the table
Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (preferably Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (ex. Git)
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (ex. AWS) and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles would be a plus
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in release management, DevOps, or related technical roles
  • Proven experience managing software releases in a complex product development environment
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence would be a plus
  • People management experience is a plus
Core Skills:
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Serve as an example of business and professional ethic
