Opportunity
As a Technical Communications Manager, you will be responsible for revamping the processes of creating high-quality knowledge assets in an efficient and systematic way.
You will shape and oversee the content strategy at Fadata, both in terms of customer documentation experience and internal knowledge sharing. You will play a critical role in promoting innovation by identifying opportunities to scale through automation and AI technologies. The ideal candidate is expected to take the end-to-end ownership of the knowledge management within the company.

Your responsibilities
Leadership
  • Support, lead, and coach the other members of the Technical Communication team
  • Routinely identify opportunities for upskilling, reskilling, and continuous learning
  • Collect team productivity data and come up with clearly defined success metrics and performance tracking, to ensure steady delivery and high quality of the produced content
Strategy
  • Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in all areas related to technical writing, information development, and content architecture
  • Develop and put in practice strategies to drive internal awareness and engagement with the Technical Communication team
  • Drive the adoption of the “Documentation as a Product” mindset and industry-established practices
  • Leverage analytics to determine areas of success and failure, and make informed data-driven decisions
Collaboration
  • Work cross-functionally and partner with the Product Management, Product Development, and Professional Services organizations to identify strategic areas of focus and in need of improvement
  • Serve as the main point of contact for any topics, issues, and escalations related to documentation, making sure all inquiries are addressed in a timely manner and resulting in a high level of stakeholder satisfaction
  • Organize and deliver internal events, meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote capability development in the areas of structuring content, effective writing, creation of visual aids
  • Influence technical personnel to develop and maintain a robust self-service knowledge base
Hands-on contribution
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an understanding of the product and the knowledge management requirements
  • Actively participate in the authoring, review, and publication of documentation
  • Perform an initial all-around audit of the existing documentation repositories, authoring and delivery processes, and housekeeping activities, and plan for periodic auditing
  • Experiment, pilot, and report on the feasibility of new tools and techniques aimed at speeding up the content creation, curation, and validation effort

What you bring to the table
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a relevant role: Staff Technical Writer, Information Developer, or Content Strategist, Technical Writing Manager, Release Manager, Delivery Manager
  • Experience in developing and implementing content models, style guides, taxonomy and nomenclature from ground zero
  • Proven track record in Project or Product Management, or related certification
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile practices
  • Follow closely the trends, technologies, and key challenges in the realm of Technical Communication
  • Advanced knowledge of Jira and Confluence Cloud
  • Proficiency of English (preferably backed up with certificate)

  • Willingness to experiment and effortlessly navigate the stress and discomfort of change
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and organizational skills
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever evolving environment
Nice-to-Haves
  • Technical acumen:
o basic knowledge in programming and software architectures
o DevOps practices and tooling
o database management systems data manipulation (SQL)
o understanding of API architecture, protocols, and standards
o cloud computing (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and cloud-native technologies
o virtualization, containerization, and orchestration
  • Familiarity with ML/AI concepts and their practical applications
  • Previous professional experience in insurance or fintech companies
  • Hands-on experience with integration and use of content management systems and version control
  • Contribution to open-source documentation projects using the docs-as-code approach
  • Comfortable use of data analytics and reporting tools – dashboards, advanced Excel, PowerBI, Tableau
