Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Architect to lead the design and implementation of a new UI framework for our commercial off-the-shelf customizable insurance software. In this role, you will replace the existing Oracle ADF framework with a state-of-the-art React.js solution and spearhead the establishment of React development teams within the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable, maintainable front-end architectures and a deep understanding of front-end development best practices. Experience in front-end testing and debugging tools and techniques is also essential.
Your responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of a new UI framework using React. 
  • Be the subject matter expert on React and front-end technologies, providing guidance and support to the wider engineering team. 
  • Architect and develop reusable components and front-end libraries for enterprise-level insurance software applications. Fadata Internal information [TLP:GREEN] 
  • Lead and coach React development teams, providing technical guidance, best practices, and mentorship to junior developers. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, backend developers, and designers, to solve real-world problems. 
  • Architect highly customizable and scalable solutions to meet the needs of diverse insurance clients.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize framework performance and scalability. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development, sharing knowledge with the team. 
  • Lead technical discussions and architectural decision-making, including evaluating new tools and technologies. 
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the new React framework, including code patterns, best practices, and development guidelines. 
  • Implement accessibility best practices to ensure the application is usable by individuals with disabilities. Consult, triage & prioritize technical debt and other areas for improvement in the codebase as necessary.
What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React. 
  • Proven track record of architecting and building complex user interfaces using React and related technologies. 
  • Deep understanding of React and its core principles. 
  • Expertise in state management libraries such as Redux or MobX. 
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS/SASS/LESS.
  • Experience in migrating legacy systems to modern front-end frameworks. 
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integration. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to bridge the infamous gap between technical & business stakeholders. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
