Opportunity
Fadata operates according to the Agile methodology principles where the building block of the system is a self-sufficient scrum team. Planning and coordinating work based on a monthly planning cadence and then to a bi-weekly scrum sprint. The Product Owner has a fundamental role in the success of our mission.  

Role Summary: 
 
As a Product owner you will be situated in one or more cross-functional scrum teams.   
The Product Owner is also accountable for effective Product Backlog management, which includes: 
  • Developing and explicitly communicating the product goal  
  • Creating and clearly communicating product backlog items  
  • Ordering product backlog items; and,  
  • Ensuring that the product backlog is transparent, visible and understood. 
 
You work in tight cooperation with Product Management and Architects who are responsible for the product roadmap. You are the voice to bring clarity during priority clashes.  
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your stakeholders management abilities are at an exceptional level. You can demonstrate previous experience as Product Owner in the IT and Insurance industries. 
Your responsibilities

  • Serve as the voice of the client within the scrum team 
  • Work with Product Management and Architects in understanding product roadmap goals  
  • Scope and define backlog items (break down EPICs raised by Product Management and Architects into User Stories and tasks).  Develop, own & prioritize the team backlog. 
  • Resolve priority conflicts when those arise 
  • Be the “Go to” person for any business or team related matters  
  • Solve business related problems, make decisions, focus the team on the product goals 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of the product. In close contact with customer for any upcoming features as a holder of the product expertise 
  • Take the lead during scrum rituals 
  • Promote the understanding of scrum values and agile best practices 
  • Lead team-related operational escalations  

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or a relevant professional experience 
  • At least 10 years of experience in the IT industry 
  • Previous experience as a Product Owner  
  • Solid understanding in product lifecycle and SDLC 
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical mindset 
  • Excellent communication skills and command of English 
  • Incident management skills and navigation in a complex and high-paced environment with a dynamic landscape of priorities 
    NICE TO HAVE: 
    • Insurance experience/professional background is а plus 
    • Program/Project management experience in Services Delivery organization 
    • Agile/Scrum or Project Management certification 
    • Previous engineering experience
