Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Sofia. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our development and deployment processes, optimizing our infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our software product. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and QA engineers, to streamline our CI/CD pipeline, automate repetitive tasks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities
  • Review CI/CD process to optimize and speed-up software development. Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Configure and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible, to provision and orchestrate cloud resources.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of servers, containers, and microservices using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS.
  • Facilitating test driven development and immutable code practices by using Git as source of truth
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health, performance, and availability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Network, IT and Development teams on resolving infrastructure issues and non-development related incidents
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalability and reliability enhancements.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle, including code scanning, vulnerability assessment, and compliance monitoring.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our DevOps processes.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members on DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree or other certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps or related role
  • Experience in monitoring and alerts setup with Prometheus, Grafana or similar
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles and tools such as Terraform, Ansible
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security tools such as SonarQube, White Source.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
