Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Director of quality with a strong background in automation testing to lead our Quality Assurance team, and to set the strategic direction for a software of strong quality where fast releases are a must. As a Director of Quality, you will be responsible for defining the Quality strategy, implementing best practices in testing methodologies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will both be strategic and operational, leveraging your technical expertise to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our QA processes. 
Your responsibilities
QA Strategy and Planning: 
  • Define and implement the overall Quality strategy, including test planning, test execution, and test automation. 
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices both in your team and across the development organization. 
  • Develop QA metrics and KPIs to measure and monitor the effectiveness of QA processes and identify areas for improvement. 
Team Leadership and Management: 
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support in their professional development. 
  • Set clear objectives, expectations, and performance goals for the QA team, and conduct regular performance reviews. 
Тest Automation: 
  • Ensure design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines. 
  • Ensure implementation of best practices for test automation, including test case design, code structure, and execution strategies. 
  • Secure utilization of the latest AI and other tooling 
Quality Assurance Processes: 
  • Establish and enforce QA processes and standards across the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to quality guidelines and best practices. 
  • Implement defect tracking and resolution processes, working closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues. 
  • Own and Lead the Performance activities within the company including the Performance Lab, Performance strategy and execution.  
Collaboration and Communication: 
  • Actively participate in the Product development management team with reference to the CTPO bringing a holistic perspective 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and operations, to ensure alignment on quality goals and priorities. 
  • Communicate QA status, progress, and risks to stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on QA activities. 
Quality Advocacy: 
  • Act as a champion for quality within the organization, advocating for best practices, continuous improvement, and a culture of quality excellence. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to promote a quality-focused mindset and drive organizational alignment around quality goals and initiatives. 

What you bring to the table
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation and utilizing the best technology to support. 
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, Protractor, etc. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages used for automation testing, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, etc. 
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI). 
  • Experience in both shift-left (CI/CT testing, incl AI powered) and shift-right initiatives (performance and security testing) is considered strong plus 
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team and secure the foundation in the Fadata values and management princips. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • Relevant certifications in quality assurance and test automation. 
  • High interest in AI and Machine learning in Testing – whether used for test case generation, defect prediction, test-execution optimization or other area of the testing process 
  • Interest or experience in cloud-based testing platforms is a strong plus
